Ken Malloy

A veteran award-winning journalist, Ken Malloy joined CBS 47 as co-anchor for the 5, 6 and 11 o’clock evening newscasts and Night Side Managing Editor in September of 2004.

Ken came to the Central Valley from CBS 11 (KTVT) the CBS Owned and Operated station in Dallas, Texas where he anchored and reported for almost 12 years. Ken was the weekend co-anchor and managing editor, and helped launch and anchor the station’s first morning show.

In Dallas, Ken also covered several major stories including the Oklahoma City Bombing, Timothy McVeigh’s execution, the capture of the so-called “Texas Seven,” the 9-11 attacks and the 2000 presidential race.

Ken was dispatched to Washington D.C. to cover the 9-11 attacks and the 2000 presidential race and stayed on the road for six weeks during the Election Cycle.

Prior to Dallas, Ken was co-anchor and reporter at (WJAR) the number-one rated powerhouse station in Providence, Rhode Island. Ken produced the acclaimed weekly “Tuesday’s Child” segments along with a half-hour special on adoption. He also served on the Board of Directors for the state’s adoption exchange program.

Prior to Providence, Ken co-anchored and reported at (WMUR) the number-one rated station in Manchester, New Hampshire, where he also hosted an award-winning (Two Golden Mike Awards) weekly political talk show.

Ken began his career as an anchor and reporter at (KESQ) in Palm Springs, California where he was awarded numerous awards for breaking news coverage.

A native of Los Angeles, Ken graduated from the University of Southern California.

Ken is married with three children and lives in Clovis.
