Matt Otstot is the CBS 47 weekend weather anchor and weekday reporter.
A native of Central Pennsylvania, Matt received his Bachelor of Art’s Degree in Journalism from Penn State University.
Matt began his journalistic career at WHIZ TV in Zanesville, OH. There he did a little bit of everything including reporting, weather and anchoring. From there Matt served as the Northern Tier Bureau Chief and Weekend Weather Anchor for WTAJ TV-10 in Altoona, PA.
Matt moved to the Central Valley in 2001 when he was hired as the Weekend Weather Anchor for KSEE 24. He left that position to serve as the City of Fresno Public Affairs Officer under Mayor Alan Autry in 2003. In August 2004, Matt resigned from that post to follow his acting and comedy dreams in Los Angeles. There he worked on numerous shows and studied improv comedy with The Groundlings.
When he’s not bringing you the True View weather, Matt enjoys spending time with his close group of friends, taking in the newest movies, working as an acting instructor, or going to see live music or comedy (especially comic Eddie Izzard).
